Sorry this photo took so long to put up! It looks like it slipped my eye whilst editing! Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy yet another Korra shot from the Legend of Korra, demonstrating the heavily rooted stance and strong kick that is earthbending <3
Probably the last Korra related piece I’ll do for a while. I had a lot of fun (especially with the water and “earth”) although coloring it was super challenging. I’d like to make this and a few other pictures available for print. Once I do, I’ll post a journal, so if you’re interested in getting a print from me in the future, be on the look out!
•Style inspired by ~kidchan •Title is from the amazing song, “Spiritual State” by Nujabes feat Uyama Hiroto [link] I could listen to that song on loop forever. •photo of clouds that I took is used in the background •Calligraphy site used for generating stylized Chinese characters which I traced over. [link] •About the chinese characters from the Avatar wikia: “the characters can be translated to: 降世神通 - the divine medium who has descended upon the world (e.g. the Avatar).”
What’s with all the incredible Korra fan art this week?? Love it!
My emails to Sares about this show consist of pretty much nothing else but “TAHNO YOU DOUCHEBAG! TARRLOK YOU MANIPULATIVE BASTARD! THEY SHOULD TEAM UP AND CAUSE CRIME!” What with my undying, permanent affection for Korra’s moments of spectacular self-involvement, LOK’s basically become “A Wide Variety Of Assholes From The Water Tribe And Why You Love Them” for me.
Here is a lovely piece of fanart (is that one word these days?) by Stevie Lewis, a visual development (“vis dev” to the cool kids) artist over at Dreamworks. Check out more of her great, charming work on her blog: chocosweete.blogspot.com
Click on the image above if you want to leave her a nice comment (because Fred and I couldn’t figure out how to link directly to the original post of hers on Blogspot, even though Fred is 8 years younger than me)!
