I have two main characters with the names Vénadan and Arruén for use in a totally zero research sword & sorcery story. Keep accents or drop accents? Or keep accent on Vénadan because it’s an atypical stress and he’d actually have an accent on it in the “original language” and leave it out on Arruén, or drop accent on Vénadan and keep it on Arruén because Arruén is the one more likely to be mispronounced by an English speaker as “a ruin”?
