What I’m about to do is get up in the CSS and change the way lists are displayed, so it approximates what we want to do with the br tag? Motherfucker.

Have you guys tried making the HTML changes in the text doc itself—the original? Using some find replace you can encase all paragraphs in p tags and single-returns appended with br /, then copy paste straight into the HTML box. That’s the only thing that ever works for me.
